IMPORTANT ADDITIONS TO THE 2025 EDITION:
- A new priced listing of Cape of Good Hope stamps used in Basutoland complements the similar listing of Transvaal used in Swaziland which has been in the catalogue for some years.
- The listings of the 1910-1913 ‘Double Head’ definitives of Rhodesia have been reviewed with the help of the Rhodesian Study Circle. New shades have been added and some descriptions have been revised to make correct identification for the non-specialist collector.
- The listings of British stamps used in Ascension has been checked and a number of amendments made, including the separate listing of the two Edward VII ½d. values.
- New varieties include the ‘Jibstay’ flaw on the King George VI 1½d. of Ascension, the ‘Hollow S’ on the 1932 official overprints of Australia and the ‘Cigar stub’ on the 3c. ‘Long Coronation’ set of Newfoundland.
- New notes have been added throughout the catalogue; including one illustrating an additional identifier of the Die I and Die II 3d. Kangaroo and Map stamps of Australia.
- Two articles repeated from Gibbons Stamp Monthly during the past year provide an insight into the development of the royal portrait on British stamps and show how a stamp shortage was tackled in colonial Malaya.
