In Red Rackham's Treasure, the twelfth volume in the comibook series The Adventures of Tintin, Tintin and Cpatain Haddock are going on a hunt for the treasure of the knight Cevalier de Hadoque, also known as the pirate Rackham the Red. Because there plans for the tresure hunt are published in the newspaper, they receive various visitors claiming to be heirs of the infamous pirate and therefore think they have a claim on the treasure. Also among the visitors is Professor Calculus, who appears here for the first time. He has built a diving boat and suggests they use that during their search to avoid attacks by sharks.
