This resin figurine of one of the Thompsons is part of a series of beautiful statuettes, designed and manufactured with a keen attention to the original detail in Hergé's drawings.
height ca. 12 cm
Historically, it is in the black and white version of Cigars of the Pharaoh that Thomson and Thompson make their appearance, even if they will be added later in the first box of the color version of Tintin in Congo, which is an album prior to Cigars of the Pharaoh. From the outset, nothing to differentiate them, except the shape of their moustache.
This Thompson looks absolutely superb in his mandarin suit! Like his colleague Thomson, he is dressed from head to toe, well almost, in the manner of the high officials of the Chinese Empire. A restriction is indeed to be noted in terms of the shoes, as a policeman of his rank is obliged to wear regulation boots.
